From “Just Build an App” to a Clean IBAN Validation Tool.
It started with a simple suggestion: “Why don’t you just build an app?” So I did.
In just two days, IBAN-Validieren.de was born, a small, fast, and privacy-friendly web app that does one thing well: validate IBANs. No ads, no clutter, no data tracking. And most importantly, no more clicking through endless websites just to check a single bank number 😜
The idea is intentionally simple:
- Enter an IBAN
- Check whether it’s valid
That’s it. No rocket science — but clean, modern, and reliable.
Anyone who’s built a website or app knows the pattern: the first 80% feel easy, almost trivial. The remaining 20%? Details, edge cases, and polish. Classic Pareto principle in action, even for a language model.
