Mikis Fahrschule has a new website. We started in February, and it’s live now: mikis-fahrschule.de.
It’s not just another project for me. Mikis is my oldest client.
Where It Started
In 2010 I was getting my own driver’s license there. Somewhere between theory lessons and driving practice, the topic came up: the driving school needed a flyer.
So I made one. Then a poster. Then a website. Then a new logo. Then a whole brand. Then a website again.
That’s how it went for 16 years. Whenever the driving school needed something, we sat down and did it. The previous site has been in my portfolio for years, and back then I was proud of it. Now that entry shows the new one.
The New Site

The red from the brand we built years ago, now on a dark background. One clear headline, one clear call to action: Jetzt voranmelden. Right below it, what matters to anyone choosing a driving school: over 25 years in Frankfurt, and a 5/5 rating from almost 600 Google reviews.
Behind that, everything a new student needs to know:
- All license classes, from B and BF17 to motorcycle and moped
- Seminars like the Aufbauseminar and Fahreignungsseminar
- The path to your license in four steps
- A blog with exam tips and a FAQ for the usual questions
- WhatsApp, callback and online pre-registration, so nobody has to dig for a phone number
The old site listed the offer. The new one walks you through it.
Why It Took 16 Years to Get Here
It didn’t. Every version was right for its time. A flyer was right in 2010. The previous website was right a few years later.
But the driving school grew, and the website didn’t grow with it. Students today search on their phone, compare reviews and want to sign up in a minute. The new site is built for exactly that.
- Long client relationships are built on small jobs done well: a flyer can turn into 16 years of work.
- A good brand ages better than a website. The red and the logo survived, the layout didn’t need to.
- A redesign isn’t a correction of the old site. It’s catching up with how the business and its customers have changed.
What Stays
A lot of people came and went over those 16 years. Agencies, tools, trends, my own jobs. What stayed is the connection to this driving school. We’ve been in touch since day one, somehow, always.
That’s the part I like most about this project. Not the new design, but the fact that the driving school where I got my license still calls me when something needs to be built.
